How to become part of the ExCITE project
How to Get Involved:
2026-27 School Year
- Currently, the ExCITE II project is recruiting technology/engineering teachers in the following states:Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota and Pennsylvania.
- You do need to be a licensed and/or endorsed technology/engineering teacher to participate. You do NOT have to be teaching technology and/or engineering courses at this time (we have a number of T&E teachers who are currently teaching computer science who are participating).
- Your principal must agree to add one or more sections of College Board ExCITE Advance Placement Computer Science Principles by Design to the schedule for the forthcoming school year, for you to teach.
- Some clarification might help: in some cases, schools have AP CSP courses already scheduled for the next school year, and plan to employ the ExCITE AP CSP by Design curriculum to deliver an already scheduled AP CSP course. Such an approach is perfectly fine! If you are offering a new course entitled AP CSP by Design, that is fine too. The point being that you will be teaching the ExCITE AP CSP by Design course to Technology and Engineering students next school year.
